Not even going to try, My MP3 player is loaded with Jimmy Buffett songs and the Pirates of the Caribean soundtracks. So my soundtrack would read like a drunk island rock and roll Pirate movie, which when you think of it isnt a bad soundtrack to have. If i get a change i may just check your list and see what it actually comes up with.

    Mine’s pretty depressing:

Opening Credits: Big Wreck - The Oaf [My Luck is Wasted]

Waking up: Beatles - Yellow Submarine

Falling in love: They Might Be Giants - The Statue Got Me High - this is just plain hucking filarious.

Fight song: Yoko Kanno - What Planet is This? (from Cowboy Bebop: the Movie) - this one is a fight song, kinda, in that movie, so it really fits

Break up song: Prodigy - Fuel My Fire - yeah, I kinda get mad when I break up

Making Up: Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams - Marilyn Manson’s version of Sweet Dreams is my Making Up theme? Like I said, depressing.

Life’s Okay: Stone Temple Pilots - Wicked Garden - yeah, not so much an upbeat song, is it?

    Mental Breakdown: Cardigans - My Favorite Game - great, my favorite game is mental anguish, awesome. {/sarcasm}

    Driving: Saliva - Your Disease

Flashbacks: Chevelle - Send the Pain Below - yeah, more depressing.

Happy Dance: Disturbed - Stupify - I’ll leave this one alone.

Regret: Calontir Singers - The Steel Shod Dance (from the songs of my local kingdom in the SCA) - I can’t really relate this one to you unless you go to an SCA war and ask the nice people in the purple tabards with gold falcons on them to sing it for you. And we will.

Final Battle: Collective Soul - Why, pt 2 - yes, really, why?

Death Scene: Tool - Sober - this fits.

Final Credits: Beatles - Long, Long, Long - such a slow, depressing song for the Final Credits, I (the awesome protagonist) must surely die just before rolling the credits if that is the final credit song.

  18. Jack Crow in the free world Says:

    Skip and company,

When I was a contractor in Iraq I was lucky enough to get a real officer in charge of my base.

He did not give a rat’s ass about ‘rules’, he only wanted good things for his troops.

I got his blessing to set up and run a low power Pirate Radio Station.

We called it WTFO FM 105.9 Stereo Scania.
The white thing hanging off the trailer was my antenna.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/90108848@N00/1297517004/in/set-72157601804115752/

This was the transmitter, amplifier and source unit.
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/90108848@N00/1296649733/in/set-72157601804115752/

A 40g MP3 player can run for about 2.5 weeks before running out of material.

We had no other English language broadcasting. So I got good ratings.

Even the people in the village next to the base liked it.

It was a scream. Did some fun things on WTFO FM.

Got comments when I clumped a bunch of songs about bars and alcoholism together.

You see in Iraq we had to live under General Order Number One.
    Simply put.
    No Liquor
    No Porn
No Pork (as in don’t trade pork with the locals)
And don’t look at the local women.

    The last one was easy.

No sane man wants to know what’s under a burka in water poor country in that summers heat.

Another tweak to the senses happened in the middle of July. It’s about 125 degrees outside; I played four hours of Christmas music.

It was fun while it lasted.

Anyhow, during my second tour as an FAC or Fat Assed Contractor the job I had was bomb counter measures.

The gadgets we serviced came under the heading of Warlock.

So I came up with songs that fit. The Warlock Mix.

    Here is that list.

    The Hardest Part
    By Blondie

When the bullet hits the bone
    Radar Love
    Golden Earring

Funkeytown (re worded to Hajji Town)
    By Lipps Inc.

    Jammin’
    Bob Marley

    Explosions
    By Devo

    I will not go quietly
    By Don Henley

    Goodnight Saigon
    By Billy Joel

    Illegal, Immoral and Fattening
    By Flo and Eddie

    The Magnificent Seven
    Rock the Casaba
    By The Clash

    Turn me on
    By The Tubes

    Psycho Killer
    By The Talking Heads

    Veteran of the Psychic Wars
From the Heavy Metal Sound Track

Also tossed in were some clips from various movies.

Later dude and thanks for the chucks

Or I could use my wifes MP3 player, but that is mostly Beatles, ABBA and Nirvana. I think I’ll start the loading process.
