Accidental Wrongness

August 31st, 2010 by skippy

Go to this website.

It’s a website for some group in PA, named Ferreth and Jobs.  Nothing interesting so far.

Now look at the address bar closely.

Oopsie.

BTW if you’re at work you should consider either erasing your browser history, or prepping yourself for a very awkward conversation with your IT department and or animal control.

“Please note, within the next few weeks, we will be switching to our new home on the Web, FerrethJobs.com, where we hope to provide better service to our clients on the Web. Thank you for your understanding.”

    lulz

  2. MadRocketScientist Says:

And the tag line “You’re in the right hands.”

  3. kat Says:

haha, I always mouse over links before I click on them, to see the address. I moused over that one, did a double-take, read the rest of the post and snickered. I imagine they’ve had a few angry emails from furries (false advertising, you know) and animal rights activists.

  4. David Says:

I think the question we should be asking is how did you, Skippy, bump into this website?

Capcha: inquests foogle â?? I’m sure this is pertinent in some frightening manner.

  5. skippy Says:

    Would you believe innocently?

  6. Dracphelan Says:

    Nope.

  7. Amberdrake Says:

Skippy and innocent (or any variation) do not tend to go together.

  8. Rick Says:

Wow, have they developed the technology to deliver their “service” over the web yet? :)

  9. Billy Says:

I’ll answer that question with one of my own: do you think we would ever believe innocent from you?

  10. Ian M Says:

Gee, I wonder what tipped them off?

  11. M578Jockey Says:

Skippy > innocent goes together like military > intelligence. It just don’t fit.

Captcha: ferreat 344 – even captcha wants to know about the ferrets

  12. Ian Says:

if you check out the site they are apparently moving to a new site and state “Any comments regarding the domain name itself may be directed to the individual who encouraged its use” and link to the guys email.

    But they do sell t-shirts.

  13. eyesoars Says:

I am reminded of ‘powergenitalia.com’ [for Powergen Italia].

I’m sure there have been worse ones.

  14. Binance?? Says:

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
