This is based on a very popular comic book series.
Also, AMC has yet to cancel a show. At all. Period. ZERO.
Plus, this looks totally awesome.

I was disappointed that he woke up in the hospital, somehow untouched, just like Jim in 28 Days Later.
Also, a thought: there should be a zombie movie about how the zombies spread and how society copes or crumbles under their weight. Diary of the Dead occured in that timeframe, but didn’t dwell on that topic at all.

The hospital start is a staple of the cosy-catastrophe genre. Day of the Triffids for example.

Or, for a video game example, System Shock. Though in that case, you never even get out of your medical suite before being attacked by the baddies.

So the Brits invaded Atlanta? (Chieftain tank visible in the background) I just wish that we got AMC in high def. Once you’re spoiled it’s distracting to watch in SD.

They coulda maybe been in the US for some joint-ops training stuff.
Or yeah, the Redcoats invaded the US, and sent ahead blankets soaked in 245-Trioxin. That would also actually be awesome for a plot.

To bad it is on a Sunday night. If it wasn’t, we could have a watching part.

Oh. Hell. Yes! I heard about this over a year ago and have been waiting for it! Fingers crossed they DON’T do a “Firefly” to it.
Can’t wait!

I love how it’s this hardcore, zombie death killing THING…and then the cheerful music comes on!
XD
This thing looks great, I’m gonna look and see if we have AMC on our TV.
P.S. xkcd-the webcomic-did a strip about zombies. I really think someone should make it into a movie.

Lennie James is in the first episode, at least, so it is awesome just by association.
If you want to know how the zombie virus got started, The Oatmeal sums it up wonderfully:

The novels are awesome! And the ‘teaser’ looks to follow the story ‘dead-on’!

Was anybody else watching the zombies swarm all over the tank and hoping we’d hear that big engine come to life?
