There is simply no way that the Borg could win. None. They can’t win against a foe they are perfectly suited to wipe the floor with, and they are not so suited to fight the Zerg. It’s that simple.

So, I’m reading the argument and on the 5th page is this quote “In Star Trek, it’s been consistently shown that if it doesn’t have shields, a phaser will fuck it up hard.”
And (I’ve never played Star Craft so correct me if I’m wrong) the Zerg have shields nicht.

Hmmm Zerg vs Borg. On one hand you have the Zerg Rush and on the other you have the adaptability of the Borg. Which is faster. The world may never know.

No idea, but i’m pretty sure that, from what little i’ve seen in Star Trek (i’m no trekkie) the Borg get killed by bullets, so i’m assuming that anybody with half a brain can kill them. I still don’t understand why those star trek dolts don’t carry normal weapons as well. As for nerdier, I have had the pleasure of the video game equivalent, I once read an argument on who would win in a fight between Pyramid Head, and a Big Daddy from Bioshock. My money is still on Pyramid Head, after all, he can only kill himself. Of course, I wouldn’t want to be around to see what happended to the Little Sister…

Issue Armored Vacc Suit 1 each, SOCOM16 1 each, 7.62NATO AP, 100 each, M67 Fragmentation Grenade, 2 each. Clear the damn ship, we can recover it and patch the holes later.

Star Trek was created by Gene Roddenbury, a pacafist or damn near. At the time of TOS, NG, and early DS9, Earth hadn’t seen anything like a real war in quite some time, just policing actions. They’ve forgotten how to fight. No bayonets, no MGs, no 40mm, no indirect fire, nothing. That’s why SF got spanked so hard in the Dominion War. The Phaser was modled after a bloody dust buster so it wouldn’t look “gunish”. In a War against Klingons, Romunals or whoever, I’d rather have the US Army and USMC with current era equipment at my back than Starfleet.

To be fair, it’s only been established that bullets fired by Captain Picard kill the Borg. It’s quite possible that whiffle balls thrown by Captain Picard would kill the Borg, because they’d be propelled by Picard Rage, second only to Spock Rage in the Universe’s most powerful forces.

I think the two would merg into the Berg, a cybernetic insect-like race that would sweep the universe asunder and start looking for ways to get into this universe.
