  1. That Guy Says:

Ray Bradbury is the greatest scifi writer in history?!?! Hell no! Heinlein is a hundred times better! Not to mention David Webber, John Ringo, and Peter Hamilton.

Don’t forget Asimov, Niven, Pournelle, Clarke, Card, Bear, ….

Not to say I haven’t enjoyed Bradbury books in the past, but I wouldn’t qualify him as the greatest Sci-Fi author.

Heinlein? Really? OORAH! But still, AWESOME song. Scifi authors should definitely have groupies.

I completely agree with That Guy. Bradbury is boring, and he has gone a little nuts in his old age. He complains about us not going to the moon in one breath and then complains about us having to much technology in the next.

You guys are such a bunch of geeks!

A hot chic makes a music video and all you can do is argue over who’s the best SF author.

Agreed. They can go argue the merits of different authors. I’ll be out at the courthouse, changing my name to Ray Bradbury.

So did anyone else catch themselves singing the song later?

It appeared in my head a couple of times, but subsided quickly. But then again, at this point, I have so many songs competing in my head, this song didn’t stand much of a chance.

I have to agree with the Heinlein, but let us not forget David Drake, Erick Flint, E.E Doc Smith, Gordon R Dickson, Anne MacCafery, Spider Robinson, Robert Aspirin (gona miss ya great Khan) Elizabeth Moon, Mary Gentle, William Gibson, John Ringo, Larry Niven, and Phil Foglio. (Is it a bad thing that those are the authors of the books on the night stand?)

Nah those good to very good authors from the ones I recognize, and with them being on the night stand, it just means you have a lot of material in case you can’t sleep.
