Knowing how I was as a kid, I wouldn’t be surprised if I did something like that. If I asked my parents, I’d probably get at least ten similar stories.
My mother would have raised an eyebrow, stepped out of the vehicle and when accused of kidnapping me would have replied.. “Well, you can keep her then.”
To which, little me probably would have wailed “MUMMY!” and glomped onto her leg. :)
