Appearing Soon, At A News Source Near You
As most of you are probably aware, medicine this morning a crazy guy rammed his plane into a Federal building in Austin, unhealthy Texas.
For the next week here will be the statements from every commentator on US politics on the radio, help broadcast news, and blog.
“The sad episode in Austin was horrible, but in moments of crisis such as this it is important that we examine the events, and try to figure out how tragedies like this happen, and what can be done to prevent them.
It should be painfully obvious that this occurrence was linked directly to whatever political issue I happen to care about. Clearly by ignoring my noble and fair political desires, we have set the train of events in motion that led to this disaster. This was probably also the inevitable result of the selfish policies and actions of whatever political group I happen to oppose.
As sad as this occasion was, it is important to remember that that this will just be to tip of the iceberg unless political decisions that I support are implemented or continue, depending on what my views actually are.
Furthermore I condemn my political opponents for trying to capitalize on this misfortune in a craven attempt to promote their own foolish and/or selfish agenda. Myself and the other kind, patriotic, and wise adherents of my own wonderful political belief system would never stoop so low.
We could attribute his actions to the angry lashing out of a clearly disturbed individual, but that would be a disservice to whatever ethnicity, ideology, or organization that I happen to be a member of. “

The simple fact is, he was a nut job who couldn’t accept responsibility for his own life. He blamed everybody but himself for the position he was in.

Though, I do wonder when people will start demanding plane control and plane free zones. This will be countered by people saying “planes don’t kill people, people kill people.”

Look, “insert inanimate object of choice” can not EVER kill people by virtue if being an inanimate object. Death results from the decision of a sapient individual to use said object to inflict bodily harm against another. Unless it was an accident or a “shit happens” situation.
Besides, by the logic of blaming the tool, not the man, we should ban cars, guns, plans, hammers, shovels, trains, boats, screwdrivers, pens basically ever product of the modern world. Hell, we should ban sticks and rocks, cause I can damn well kill you with those too!
I’ll make a bet with the world. If any of my guns ever gets up, loads itself, and then goes and shoots someone, I’ll melt them and my knives all down.

Believe me, I know this. Ask Skippy about my collection if you don’t. The truth is, this will be used to justify further restrictions on private aviation. It will not adversely affect the airlines, but more private pilots will stop flying because of the hassles.

I don’t argue that people kill people.. however, some items make it EASIER for people to kill people and should be regulated.
Getting in a plane and flying it is a fairly difficult thing to arrange for the average man, but as you say, he could have just used a car and driven into a gas station. (Well, not exactly what you said.. but I agree with what you said so shush.)

I just tuned out the natter-natter, blather-blather from the bubble-headed anchors [3, count ’em 3 hyphentated words in ONE sentence!], but, prior to the tuning out, was dismayed that no one was able to work in the phrase “But what about the children?”
Crazy guy flew into building where IRS had office. What more needs to be said? I’m just surprised this isn’t a monthly occurance. Not that I have anything against the IRS, I’m sure that they’re a bunch of sell guys and gals.

Hell, the man had a private plane, load up your shit and fly south! I’m sure Mexico would love to have you. Fly to Africa! Whereever you want to go. I have this old-fashioned belief in this crazy theory. It’s called personal responsibility. Most people these days haven’t even heard of it, for others it’s a vague myth, something your grandpa did. It’s falling out of fashion, which is really too bad.
Anyway, according to this crazy theory, people need to take responsibility for the things they do (crazy, I know).

There probably won’t be any special restrictions on private planes because of this suicide.
Because this is not a “terrorist attack”, no matter that he purposely flew his plane into a public building in an attempt to terrorize the IRS.

You have to earn enough money to have taxes to pay in order to cheat on them.
This guy was anti-catholic church, anti-bush, wanting to be a republican, but never quite getting there.
There are 2 types of Republicans, wealthy ones who cheat on their taxes, and those who hope to someday become wealthy enough to be able to try and cheat on their taxes.
I’m not wealthy enough yet, but someday I hope to be.
At any rate after reading his manifesto, the Republican’s aren’t taking him. Can we give him to the Green Party?
