And so now, I can never eat there again. Granted, since I now live about 26 hours away by car I don’t think that’s exactly scary to them, but dammit, a line has been crossed.
Oh well.

I see his point. I live in Phoenix and have been to the grill before. After seeing some other pictures and videos of their restaurant, it does look like a pretty fair ripoff, even if they expanded the idea and did it differently.
It would be like if someone opened a cafe extremely similar to Hard Rock, but called it Rockin’ Hard Cafe, and then changed the menu to only BBQ and burgers.
So, although I don’t agree with him, I can see his point. They copied him pretty exactly- they even approached him about a franchise at one point.

My first reaction is, “I’m with you, Skippy,” but after seeing the article, I don’t think I can be with you. He’s got a legitimate beef. They didn’t just jack the concept, they jacked the logo, the art style, the uniforms, everything. The real clincher, to me, though, is that they talked to each other about franchising. That’s like talking to a screenwriter about his concept, saying, “nah, not interested” and then coming out with the exact same concept for your movie, only you change the name of the main character. That’s foul.

Uncool man. Last I checked it doesn’t seem like he has much of a case. Being in different states, all HAG can sue for is trademark infringement which if shown only forces the HeartStoppers to remove or change trademark infringing aspects of their business.

Yeah… he’s as well known as McDonalds, and I’m the most famous guy in the Air Force since Jimmy Stewart.
I’ve only heard of this place twice. Once here, and once when I actually lived in Arizona. I’m pretty sure McDonalds just barely edges him out on this one.

As well known as MacDonalds? What like global brand or something? Other than through this site, I’d never heard of the place, and I watch a lot of food shows.
