Really, I tuned him out. My old man had been a corporal in the rangers during the Korean War. My first inclination was to give Fat Albert pointers on doing a real ass-chewing, but I came to my senses and ignored him. I did not alter any of his "orders of the day" again. He was also famous for claiming to do all of the work only to have someone else get the medal. Then we intel guys would start saying, "I told Hannibal to cross the Alps, but he got all the credit." "I was on the advance party for Moses, but he got the book creds." "If Lee had listened to me, we'd've beat them yankees." Etc. I miss those days [sigh].
